A child’s preschool years are among the most important years for literacy development.  Our curriculum is built around a wide variety of activities designed to enhance vocabulary, awareness of patterns and sounds in language, letter recognition and knowledge of printed materials.  Our teachers provide an environment rich with materials and programs that offer opportunities for social, emotional and academic development.

Two Year Old Program

  • 1 – 6 child teacher ratio

Three Year Old Program

Four Year Old Program

  • Scholastic’s Building Language for Literacy Program – Phase 2
    • Builds and expands on concepts in Phase 1
    • Introduction of literature; fiction, non-fiction, songs, and poems
    • Write beginning sounds, identify story elements, sequence of events and communicate ideas through pictures and writing
  • Practical math applications    
    • Sorting, classifying, patterns, sequencing, matching, graphing
  • Developmentally appropriate practices

    • Large playground and soccer field

Pre-Kindergarten Program

  • “Beginning to Read, Write and Listen” phonetic based reading program

  • 5 day mandatory attendance & must be birth date eligible
    • Specifically designed for those children who miss the kindergarten age cutoff date of December 2nd

Private School Kindergarten

  • All curriculum content areas meet or exceed California State and Poway Unified standards
  • California state cutoff date of December 2nd observed
  • Credentialed teacher
  • Smaller class size and low student-to-teacher ratio
  • 6 hour curriculum with extended care at no cost
  • Reading:  Rigby PM Plus reading program
  • Creative writing

Before & After School Program
